Hi Shaun, Thanks so much for performing at our wedding. Everyone had a great time we got lots of great comments about your entertaining. You really made the evening fantastic...and even had a 9 month pregnant woman up on the dance floor!! Thanks again, Justine & Jason ----------------------------------------------------------- In the capacity of Event Co-ordinator for the New Plymouth District Council, I engaged Shaun Preston to be one of the highlight performers for last years TSB Bank Festival of Lights. Shaun provided us with 2 hours of non-stop magical entertainment. At one stage I would estimate we had over 3,000 people crammed on, around and above our beautiful Hatchery Lawn Stage. Shaun is an extremely accomplished pianist, has a magnificent voice and is a great entertainer. He took us through big hits from Elton John, Rolling Stones, Maroon 5, Matchbox 20, Billy Joel, Scissor Sisters, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins and many more. He is also an extremely talented songwriter. Shaun is mature beyond his years and has the ability to connect with audiences of all ages. He is highly professional and reliable and he is a joy to work with on the logistics side of arrangement he is a true professional in every way. We are very pleased that we have been able to settle on a date to have Shaun back again this year at the TSB Bank Festival of Lights as he has developed a very high profile in Taranaki. Last night I went to the concert you had at Pukekura Park and you totally blew me away, your amazing. You have such a sensual quality to your voice that drove me crazy. The people of taranaki love you and we hope you come back. love your biggest fan Sarah ------------------------------------------------------------------ Recently I became involved in trying to secure Shaun's services for the annual Festival of the Lights concerts here at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth. I made committments to those putting up the money that Shaun would not disappoint, and to Shaun, that the New Plymouth public would appreciate talent. I was overwhelmed on both counts. Shaun not only performed, he worked the audience to a frenzy from a carefully thought out set list, culminating with a credenza featuring "backwards from under the piano playing", Mozart style, to end "Crocodile Rock". The audience after two and a half hours still wanted more. Since then, my phone has rung hot, I have received emails galore and even notes in the mail thanking and encouraging me to try and secure Shaun for an even larger gig. The voice, the piano playing, where is the end to where this talent will go! To mix the metaphor's, the sky's the limit for this young man with his feet firmly planted on the ground! People are still talking about how great it was to have you there J Felicity and I both agree that you really made the night such a fun time and definitely an event to remember. We wanted someone professional and entertaining who could read a crowd. Someone who could be formal with their attitude and presentation and then relaxed and happy and get us all in the mood for a great night of entertainment and dancing. Shaun read our wedding crowd absolutely, positively perfectly. We had the BEST time a wedding party could possibly have. Shaun is a real entertainer, a mover and a shaker and he was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone that night. For Steve and I our wedding would not have been so memorable without Shaun there. We were loyal groupies of Shaun's before the wedding, we are now firm loyal friends as well! Steve & Annie Harrington ----------------------------------------------------------------- We appreciated your musical talent while playing at our daughters wedding in Hawera Jan 5th 2007.Your musical skills were admired by every guest we talked to who attended the wedding. The variety of music accomidated everyone and kept a vibrant dance floor all evening. Comments from the elderly at the wedding were so amazed they could have a conversation with each other without being drowned out with excessive loud music yet it was ideal for the younger ones who wanted to dance. As it was the first appearance at Taiuroa lodge the staff like the guests were amazed at your talent they thought you were Elton John when they heard you practice when setting up your instruments early afternoon. Thankyou for the use of sound system for the speeches as it was so clear and nobody had difficulty hearing. Two nights prior we took the grooms parents to the Festival of lights at Pukekura Park New Plymouth and watched you perform on the hatchery lawn in the park. Your perfomance was incredible and gave the 4 to 5 thousand people attending a performance to remember. The comments in the crowd were all complimentary and could not believe the quality of your performance. Question being asked continually how did we know of you.? We attended a 40th birthday party in Wellington a couple of years ago for our sister in law and were lmpressed with your performance . Wow what can I say, we had pretty much every guest say, "Oh my god where did you find this guy." And the next day all we could talk about were the great food and the fantastic singer. We had people outside on the deck singing along to 'Jessie' thinking it was a CD and walked in to find you playing. I know its cliche but you honestly?got everyone up dancing, even our 70 year old grandfather was dancing to YMCA !! Thanks for such a great night and for staying on for that last hour even thogh we hadn't booked it. You have a great easy going personality which totally matched our wedding. Valerie Rickard -------------------------- My wife and I were having dinner at the Chameleon on the 24th February (our 9th wedding anniversary) and I could hear what I thought was an acoustic CD playing. I commented to my wife about the song 'Jessie' (and the cat called Moses - not sure of its real name) song, I really like the song and my 2 year old is called Jessie. Later a Hootie and the Blowfish song came on, again acoustic and sounding similar to 'Jessie', a really good version of the song. Then an Elton John number came on,I forget which song,and I said to my wife,"May be its an Elton John CD and he's doing acoustic covers, it's really good music." Then the 'CD' stopped and I was going to get up and ask for more music (boy am I glad I didn't), we were really enjoying it, the background to our night out. Evuntually the music came back on, we finished our wonderful meal. You could have knocked me over with a feather when we were heading for the door and we saw you performing, the 'acoustic CD' turned out to be you and the piano on the edge of the bar. I just thought I'd drop you this wee note to say thank you, your music was fantastic and really helped make our night.
